User's Web Usage Report
Application
This application was created to fill a gap in Microsoft ISA 2004.
ISA 2004 has a powerful
reporting engine, but you have to use canned reports that you cannot modify very
much. One of the missing features is that you cannot retrieve a list of Web sites per users within ISA 2004. You have to manually dig, extract, manipulate and format that
information's from the logs. Other applications exist
that provide this fonctionnality, but for a much more expensive price and include
superfluous features you may not really need.
This application will report all the Web sites each user has visited during a specific day. This information is retrieved directly from the MSDE service installed with
ISA 2004. With the full registered version you can specify a starting and an ending date, select multiple databases to search from and specify which users
to include in your report.
The report is created using an HTML template that you can modify to suit your need.
The template include custom tags used to inject specifics informations
retrieved from the logs. You are free to customize
the look and feel of the original template by editing the html file, but you have to be carefull not to change the
custom tags.
